It seems a little fitting somehow that I launch this blog with a little photo and note about voting.

I’m not quite sure why or how it is fitting, but it does seem that way.

Like, something about the 21st century and all the resources and privileges that I have. I had my ballot, at home. I had my official Voters’ Pamphlet, as delivered by the USPS into my mailbox. I had my cheat sheets: one from The Stranger and one from a 36th district doorbeller who stopped by and one from the League of Women Voters. And I had a laptop on the kitchen counter, so I could Google any questions I had about the issues and the candidates.

And I took a good long time finalizing my ballot choices. And for the most part, I feel good about the choices I made.

Polls close in just one week, Tuesday, November 4.   Pins and needles.
