So I have this way of gathering bits of intriguing information, and I get to thinking, but sometimes then I lose part of the original thread, and my memories become a little unwound. This is happens especially so the more I get around; the more people I talk to and the more places I go, the more snippets I gather, begin to weave, and then, snip, something falls loose.

Anyway. Lately for some reason there’ve been many snippets regarding music, in particular, scoring. So here I sit with this misty recollection of a film composer I was talking with, and I was thinking, I’ve got to introduce him to Michel Szostalo, because they are both composers, but in slightly different realms somehow–and both approaches are very intriguing. But the moment passed and now I cannot remember who I was talking with.

And now, another one. I even scribbled a title in my Moleskin, but no other info. “The Adventures of Victoria and Balthazar”. And I remember that I was especially intrigued because this was about a score that was composed before the movie–so the filmmakers could write with the inspiration of the music. Which I think is just brilliant.

Except it’s not a movie, it’s an Internet thing, I think. An Internet TV series or something; what would you call that? And now I cannot remember who I was talking to. And oddly, I’ve Googled the hell out of “The Adventures of Victoria and Balthazar” and cannot freaking find anything of substance. Weird.

Did I dream this?
