Was chatting with a sweet friend today. He’s planning to take accordion lessons. He has considered this extensively, and here’s his perspective.
Accordion is an instrument that can be played while sitting down, as in, in a rocking chair after he gets (much) older and rather infirm.
Accordion is an instrument that can be played solo, don’t need a gaggle of folks accompanying.
Accordion playing will keep him attractive — he says he won’t always be good-looking, but as an accordion player he’ll still Get Lucky. People respond to talent.
I think he’s on to something.

I love it! Who knew an accordion could be so versatile and so cool? I was at a party a while ago and was so surprised when the hostess pulled out the accordion. It certainly was a show-stopper!
